Terms of Service
By registering an athlete with Speed Plus Academy Track Club, paying tuition, or attending practices and competitions, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before completing registration.
I. The Organization
Speed Plus Academy, Inc. (“Speed Plus,” “the organization,” or “we”) is a Florida nonprofit corporation, granted 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status by the Internal Revenue Service (EIN 33-2863194). The organization was incorporated December 26, 2024.
We operate Speed Plus Academy Track Club (“the Track Club”) at Dr. Phillips High School in Orlando, Florida, under the direction of founder and head coach Boris L. Jackson. The Track Club is a faith-based youth track and field ministry serving athletes in grades 6 through 12.
II. Services Provided
When you register an athlete and pay tuition, Speed Plus provides:
- Coached track and field training under Coach Boris L. Jackson and authorized staff
- Programmed instruction in sprint mechanics, block work, agility, strength & conditioning, race strategy, meet preparation, and recruiter visibility
- Access to scheduled practices throughout the 2026 season
- Coordination with Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) for sanctioned competition
- Coaching presence at scheduled meets (excludes 2 specified meets per season)
- Outreach support to college and university recruiters on behalf of qualifying athletes
III. Tuition, Fees, and Payment
Speed Plus offers four registration options for the 2026 season:
| Option | What It Covers |
|---|---|
| $380 | Full 2026 season tuition, paid in one transaction |
| $215 | Reservation deposit. Remaining $165 balance due by June 7, 2026. |
| $165 | Balance owed by deposit-paying parents (paid separately when invoiced) |
| $190 | High School Post-Season Entry — for athletes joining after their school track season ends |
All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. (stripe.com). Speed Plus does not store credit card information. Payment is required to confirm registration; an athlete is not considered registered until payment is received.
Additional Costs Not Included in Tuition
- AAU Youth Athlete Membership — required separately, paid directly to AAU. Currently approximately $20–$25 per athlete per year. Membership covers AAU insurance and competition eligibility.
- Meet Entry Fees — charged separately for each competition the athlete enters. Communicated before each meet.
- Uniform — team uniform purchase separate from tuition for new athletes. Coach BoJack provides ordering details after registration.
- Transportation — transportation to practices and meets is the family’s responsibility.
IV. Refund Policy
All tuition payments are final and non-refundable. This policy applies to full season tuition, deposits, balance payments, and high school post-season entry fees.
Speed Plus is a nonprofit ministry that commits resources, schedules coaching, and reserves competition slots based on registered athletes. Refunds are not provided for any of the following reasons, including but not limited to: change of mind, schedule conflicts, athlete injury, family relocation, dissatisfaction with the program, missed practices or meets, athlete behavioral issues resulting in dismissal, or cancellation of competitions outside our control (weather, AAU rescheduling, facility unavailability).
In rare and extraordinary circumstances, the Founder may at his sole discretion offer a partial credit toward a future season. Such credits are not guaranteed, are not transferable, and do not constitute refunds.
V. AAU Membership Requirement
Every registered athlete must hold an active AAU Youth Athlete membership before competing under the Speed Plus Academy Track Club banner. Coaches will not enter unregistered athletes in AAU-sanctioned competitions, and athletes without active AAU membership will not be covered by AAU’s competition insurance.
AAU registration is the family’s responsibility. Instructions for completing AAU registration with the Speed Plus club code are provided on the registration confirmation page and via email after tuition is paid.
VI. Assumption of Risk and Liability
Track and field is a contact-free but physically demanding sport. Participation involves inherent and significant risks of injury, including but not limited to: muscle strains, sprains, tendon and ligament injuries, fractures, concussions, heat-related illness, and in rare cases, catastrophic injury or death.
By registering an athlete, the parent or legal guardian acknowledges that they have considered these risks and voluntarily accept them on behalf of the athlete. The parent or guardian, on behalf of themselves and the athlete, releases Speed Plus Academy, Inc., its officers, directors, employees, coaches, volunteers, and affiliates (the “Released Parties”) from any and all claims, demands, and causes of action arising from injury, illness, or harm sustained during program activities, except to the extent such injury results from the gross negligence or willful misconduct of a Released Party.
Parents represent that the athlete is in adequate physical condition to participate in vigorous athletic training. Parents are responsible for disclosing any pre-existing medical conditions, allergies, or medications relevant to the athlete’s safety to Coach BoJack at registration.
This assumption-of-risk language is not a substitute for a separate signed liability waiver. Speed Plus may require parents to sign a separate waiver document before athletes participate in practices or competitions.
VII. Code of Conduct
Athletes are expected to:
- Attend practices on time, dressed appropriately, and ready to train
- Treat coaches, teammates, opponents, and officials with respect at all times
- Follow instructions from Coach BoJack and authorized staff
- Refrain from drugs, alcohol, tobacco, vaping products, and performance-enhancing substances
- Conduct themselves at school and in the community in a manner consistent with the values of the program
Parents and family members are expected to:
- Communicate respectfully with coaching staff regarding schedules, expectations, and concerns
- Refrain from coaching from the sidelines during practices and meets
- Settle scheduling, transportation, and family logistics outside of practice time
- Treat other athletes, parents, officials, and venue staff with respect
Speed Plus reserves the right to dismiss athletes from the program for repeated violations of this Code of Conduct. Dismissals are at the sole discretion of the Founder and do not entitle the family to a refund of paid tuition.
VIII. Photo and Media Release
By registering an athlete, parents grant Speed Plus Academy, Inc. permission to photograph and record video of the athlete during practices, competitions, and program events, and to use such material for: program promotion, social media, website content, recruiter outreach, fundraising appeals, and similar nonprofit purposes.
Parents who wish to opt out of media use for their athlete must notify Coach BoJack in writing at registration. Opt-out requests will be honored for all future media but cannot retroactively remove material already published.
IX. Faith-Based Identity
Speed Plus Academy is a faith-based youth track ministry. Coaching, character formation, and program culture are informed by Christian faith. The program welcomes athletes and families of all backgrounds, beliefs, and faith traditions and does not require religious affiliation as a condition of participation. However, families should understand that prayer, faith-related vocabulary, and faith-rooted character formation are part of the program’s identity.
X. Communications
By registering an athlete, you consent to receive communications from Speed Plus Academy, Inc. via the email address and phone number provided at registration. Communications may include: practice schedules, weather cancellations, meet announcements, balance payment reminders (for deposit-paying parents), program updates, and occasional fundraising appeals.
You may unsubscribe from non-operational communications at any time by replying “UNSUBSCRIBE” to any program email. Operational communications (schedule changes, safety notices) cannot be opted out of for the duration of active program enrollment.
XI. Termination of Service
Speed Plus reserves the right to terminate an athlete’s participation in the program for: (a) violations of the Code of Conduct, (b) failure to pay outstanding balances, (c) failure to maintain active AAU membership, (d) misrepresentation of eligibility (age, grade, school), (e) safety concerns, or (f) any other reason at the sole discretion of the Founder.
Termination of participation does not entitle the family to a refund of paid tuition.
XII. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time as our operations or applicable law evolve. The “Effective” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated to active families via email. The current version will always be available at spatrackclub.com/terms.html.
XIII. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms will be resolved in the state or federal courts of Orange County, Florida, and parties consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
Before initiating any formal legal action, parties agree to attempt good-faith resolution by direct communication with Coach BoJack and the organization’s leadership for a period of at least 30 days.
XIV. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
XV. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any separate signed waivers or agreements, constitute the entire agreement between you and Speed Plus Academy, Inc. regarding participation in the Speed Plus Academy Track Club program.
